이전에도 언급했던 Flexible OLED에는 초음파 센서, Rigid OLED에는 광학식 지문센서 탑재하는 현상, 초음파에는 퀄컴, 광학식에는 제조업체의 복수 공급업체 체계에서 중국 Goodix, 대만 EgisTech이 과점하는 시장 상황이 고착화되는 현상 지속되고 있다. Goodix는 Silead가 광학식 지문센서 시장진입을 비 상식적인 방법을 사용하여 막았고 시장은 위 3개 업체에 의해 과점되는 시장이 되어 버렸다. Silead는 Oppo에 1회성 광학식 지문센서 1개 모델을 공급한 후 Goodix에 의해 시장 진입이 중단되었는데 그 이유는 특허소송이 때문이 아닌 블로그에도 언급하지 못할 이유, 중국에서만 적용될만한 이유로 막혔다. Goodix 시총, 시장 지위가 모든 것을 말해준다.

 

초음파 방식에는 현재 대안이 없는 상태고 중국 제조업체는 그간 사용하던 Goodix 솔루션에서 대만 EgisTech을(화웨이, 샤오미 부터), 삼성전자는 그간 사용하던 대만 EgisTech 솔루션 일변도에서 Goodix 솔루션을 일부 모델 적용 시작했다. LG도 마찬가지일 것이다.  제업업체의 복수 공급업체 체계에서 중국 제조업체는 EgisTech, 삼성전자는 Goodix가 수혜를 입는 것은 2개의 과점된 공급업체에서 당연한 결과다.

이전에도 중국 제조업체에는 슈프리마 대신 스웨덴 Precise Biometrics 알고리즘 채택 가능성이 높다는 의견 드린 바 있다. 퀄컴 초음파 센서에도 마찬가지로 국내 슈프리마 보다 스웨덴 Precise Biometrics 알고리즘 채택을 높게 본다와 애플은 자체 알고리즘을 사용할 것으로 예상하고 있다.

 

Apple도 Flexible OLED를 채용을 확대하면서 지문센서를 탑재한다면 유일한 선택지는 초음파 방식이다. 고해상도 Flexible OLED에는 빛 투과율 때문에 광학식 지문센서를 사용할 수 없기 때문에 초음파 방식이 유일한 방법인데 이것을 자체 솔루션 or 기존 상용화된 퀄컴 솔루션 선택지만 남은 상태다. http://blog.daum.net/serapeum/7594949
